Farmers markets growing in popularity
The number of farmers markets across the nation has grown by 37% over
the last four
years, according to new data released today by USDA. The 1998 farmers
market
directory lists 2,746 farmers markets operating in the US, up from
1,755 in 1994, when
USDA began collecting the data. To locate a market near you, the
