With so much discussion on Nitrogen and Nitrogen sources and organic fertilization (word?) I thought I'd seek some feedback on what to plant as an understory (?) for my newly established orchard of 300 trees. We are in eastern Ontario Canada with rather severe weather - zone
4ish. I believe a perennial groundcover would be best. Any comments or suggestions on what to plant?
