Lily Pad Eradication without Synthetics

Does anyone know of a non-synthetic strategy for controlling lily pads-
especially- in ponds. Are there any fish that may do this? Do ducks and geese
keep them down?

<< I have a 1 1/2 acre partially
spring-fed pond that's being overrun by lily pads. I would like an organic
method of killing the lily pads. The pond is on a farm in Ledbetter, TX
