"A Guide to USDA and Other Federal Resources for Sustainable Agriculture
and Forestry Enterprises" features information on federal programs that
spearhead innovations in agriculture and forestry. Specifically, the guide
addresses resources in value-added and diversified agriculture and
forestry, sustainable land management and community development. It was
written for farmers and ranchers, entrepreneurs, community developers and
conservationists.
A collaborative effort between USDA's Resource Conservation and Development
agency, USDA's Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE)
program and the Michael Fields Agricultural Institute, the guide is
intended to foster more sustainable practices in agricultural and forest
product enterprises. Special thanks are due ATTRA, which posted the guide
at its national web site.
