Last week I ran across an article in, I think, New Scientist, which reported on a finding that malted barley (and other sprouted cereals) had fungicidal properties. This was a first for me, so I can't give a personal testimonial to its effectiveness. However, when you think of the main hazard to sprouting grain, it makes sense....
