Heidi:

I hear what you are saying. I'm in on this hog fight.
As a matter of fact, I've setup a seminar on Jan. 23rd in Macomb, IL
with some keynote speakers to talk of what the mega-factories are doing
to our environment.
I have Kendall Thu, Anthropologist and speaker on ag Safety and Health,
John Crabtree from CFRA, Karen Hudson from FARM (Families Against Rural
Messes), Paul Gebhart an organic farmer, waiting on a couple others to
see if they can come.
Our group doing this is so grassroots, we are just the "fuzz" on the
grass!!!
We call ourselves SOLE (Save Our Land & Environment).
Now that I have set everything up with place, speakers, etc. I need to
appropriate funds for it, but because our group is not a non-for profit
at this point (501,c,3), it is being difficult to get the funds. I have
personally contributed by getting a fax machine and second phone line so
I can be on the NET and keep in touch with updates of the issues.
Being "Grassroots" is rough unless you're independently wealthy (G).

Trying to put up a good fight.
