At risk of offending, I think this little episode does expose something of
the 'reactionary' m.o. of environmental activism. Care for the environment
is quite essential and I am not disparaging the motive for the ready barbs
that folks have for corporate giants that obviously play fast and loose
with earth's fragile systems and societies' needs for sensitivity, but
incessant and automatic assumption of guilt and/or ill intent does get
tiresome. There is a genuine lack of objectivity aired in this forum from
time to time that is distracting (though I'm sure it is more or less
balanced in the world by equal and opposite subjectivity from corporate
apologists) and self-defeating when more constructive discussions are wanted.
