Can anyone out there refer me to a Web site offering summary info on US
nuclear energy? How many power plants built, how many still operating, how
many building plans cancelled, how many plants dismantled? Costs to date,
including waste disposal? Proven and apparent effects on human health?
That sort of stuff.
Seems to me the sales push for genetic engineering sort of parallels the early
push for nuclear energy. Maybe hindsight in one case could lead to
foresight in the other.
