I also recall many years ago when there were a ton of tomato plants put out
as part of the Vegetable Systems Trial at the Rodale Research Center. A
Mennonite crew came in with a flat bed set up for canning. Made pretty
short work of the "data" after they were harvested. My recollection is
that the canned tomatoes went to relief work. Haven't got a clue who to
contact.
Any other old Rodalians out there recall?
Hope this is helpful.
