In a message dated 98-09-18 18:12:17 EDT, John Lozier:

<< I think these profits are going to a transnational
class. If you are thinking the US is profitting, I think this is very
temporary. My humble opinion. >>

John: I agree entirely....however, I am sorry there was some confusion in my
FORWARD from Ritu at UCLA. He did the research and wrote the paper and as I
have followed the biopiracy drama now for a few years, thought it was apt for
SANET...My take is that, modest stakeholder farmers share common concern
throughout the world. Their fight is my fight. I love them. They love me. Is
this what guides those gathered at the big tables at WR Grace, ADM and
Monsanto?

Did Archer Daniels Midland conceive that one way to feed the world was to fix
commodity prices? After 7 years the US DOJ has won its case against the
Andreas family. Is it going to take another 7 years for livestock producers to
get some justice against IBP and Cargill?

Thank you for the note John. I'll sign off before I get wound up. Got to go
cooperate somehow, somewhere!
