Graduate Research Assistantship (MS / PhD)
NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIVERSITY
DEPARTMENT OF CROP SCIENCE
We are seeking a motivated and responsible individual to join an
interdisciplinary team of faculty and staff working on 3-yr project that
addresses forage nutrient management and swine effluent. The specific
focus will be on the effects of various rates of swine effluent
application on forage production. Nitrogen, phosphorous, and heavy
metals will be monitored in the plant-soil system. Thesis /
dissertation project to be developed by student in an area of nutrient
cycling as related to swine effluent and forage production.
Qualifications
* BS degree in agronomy, crop science, soil science, animal
science, or closely related discipline
* Familiarity with nutrient cycling and waste management
* Experience in conducting field and research
Stipend
* MS - $13,000; PhD - $15,000
* Project provides tuition remission and health insurance
