Request for proposals--pest management proejcts in Calif.

<fontfamily><param>Times</param><bigger>The California Department of
Pesticide Regulation is requesting proposals from qualified public and
private entities interested in investigating and adopting innovative
pest management practices that will lead to reduced-risk pest
management systems. Funding is available to set up demonstration
projects focused on integrated pest management practices and
technologies, and to establish applied research projects to develop
critical components of pest management systems that are or are likely
to be threatened or disrupted due to regulatory or biological
challenges. Approximately $500,000 is available to support
demonstration projects and approximately $250,000 for applied research
projects. This program welcomes pest management projects from the
agricultural and nonagricultural sectors. Work must be performed in
California and the applicant must have an address in California.
