I am not a stats kinda person but have found "Living Downstream: An
Ecologist looks at Cancer and the Environment" to be very moving on the
topic of synthchems (not strictly ag chem use but does mention a lot of ag
stats/facts in a moving way. And, actually does also talk about topsoil
loss/small farm loss/lots of other sustainable ag relevant issues ...)
It also has plenty of facts embedded withing lyrical prose. It's
1996 published so quite timely, if you're trying to convince someone of
the need for sustainable EVERYTHING, with a focus on sustainableag, ask
them to read it, if you're trying to just put a fact sheet together, I
guess it won't be too helpful, unless you have time to read it in which
case you'll find some gems and a handsome biblio....
