Lon, try the databases of the Calif. Dept. of Pesticide Regulation. You
can find out what's is registered in California and by the US EPA--as well
as products that are no longer registered. The information will give you
individual product brand names and name & address of registrants. Try
http://www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/monster/monster.htm.
It took me a while to come up with the right chemical code. The active
ingredient you want is "potassium salts of fatty acids." The DPR Chemical
code for that is 1596 (when you get to the databases,you'll see why you
need this number.) I found 20 or so products that are or have been
registered as herbicides--most, actually, as algaecides or for moss
control..
