The Scientific Cooperation Program provides financial support for
international cooperation in research efforts that benefit U.S.
agriculture and forestry. This program funds scientific exchanges
and longer term collaborative research between U.S and foreign
scientists. Scientists submitting proposals must be affiliated with
a U.S. university, federal or state agency, or private non-profit
organization. U.S. scientists may collaborate with an appropriate
research institution in any country with which the United States has
diplomatic relations.

---Value-Added New Products and Associated Topics
---Collection, Preservation, and Characterization of Plant, Animal, and
Microbial Germplasm
---Environment and Natural Resources
---Food, Nutrition, and Health Concerns
---International Commerce
AMOUNT OF AWARD Minimum of $5,000 and maximum of $30,000
short term visit --maximum four weeks
long term visit --maximum three years
The program does not provide funds solely for attendance at
conferences or for sabbaticals.
