Sal, I have been talking with an employee of the USDA who says they (as a
body of USDA employees) will never admit organic farming is safer. The
feeling is that would make all their previous pronouncements about
mainstream ag look bad. As individuals, opinions differ.
With this attitude about what is *safe*, they have painted themselves into
a corner. We need to give them a way out of that dilemma.
