Pesticides, when taken in any dose, are never good for your health.
I think that analogy is weak at best.
Also, it is difficult to draw the line between what is "harmful vs. helpful"
when the people who often pay the price of the harm (farm workers and
those in nearby communities) are often not the very same people who
reap the "benefits" (cosmetically perfect produce).
