In Massachusetts the Federation of Farmer's markets, which collects dues
from about 20 of the 100 Massachusetts markets charges by the season.
The price varies per market. The urban markets charging more than the
suburban ones, charging by the space in some markets and whether the farm
participates one or two days. (The two downtown Boston locations each
have a market twice a week. The range is from $200 inthe most suburban
market selling one day/wk, $1900 for a Boston Market meeting twice/week
and $1,000 for the largest spaces at a Cambridge or Somerville market
(urban areas near Boston) meeting once per week.
As far as I know, none of the markets charges a percentage of sales.
I hope this is helpful.
