The reason I did not get back to each of you was because my internet
provider was down for over a week and I had a backup of nearly 200
emails, through which I'm still wading.
I was beginning to wonder if sustainable did not mean surviving vested
synthetic chemical interests at the USDA, considering the Agency's
attack on organic farmers and organic agriculture. That is, making it
synonymous with conventional, toxic synthetic inputs all the way from
synthetic misnamed inerts in herbicides and other pesticides to
synthetics in sewage sludge, irradiation, and genetic engineering. Of
course, there are many more synthetics in conventional agriculture of
which I likely know nothing. However, the more I learn, the more I
choose to buy from known organic farmers, regardless of what the
movement renames itself.
Thanks again.
