I was suprised to see the message, which arrived yesterday, regarding orange
roughy. I presume that the said Dr Roper was the person in New Zealand with
National Geographic attaching cameras to whales off Kaikora to take cameras
down to depths giant squid are found at? I recall that there was some
considerable concern expressed in the media about the ethics/animal welfare
issues of such an approach.
