I have some old news for you. Dr. William Albrecht did extensive research on
the role of proteins in animal and human health. He found that properly
fertilized soils allowed plants to properly synthesize proteins, which in
turn, allowed animals and humans to properly assimilate proteins. This in turn
resulted in plants that were resistant to pests, and animals and humans with
properly functioning immune and reproductive systems.

Conversely, adulterating the soil combined with improper fertilization yields
plants, animals, and humans with compromised resistance to pests and
pathogens. Rather than monkey around with trying to create induced immunity to
a rapidly varying array of pathogens, let's get back to fundamentals. Dr.
Albrecht talked about the biotic pyramid: soil is at the bottom, followed by
microbes, plants, insects, birds, herbivores, omnivores, and finally humans.
If you mess up the soil, guess who suffers? Considering that we have a
proliferation of pathogens, degenerative, and neurodegenerative diseases in
our society, I think it is easy to assume that something is amiss. I would
agree that we need to look at proteins as one of the corner stones of health,
but let's look at restoring health rather than trying to combat specific
symptoms.
