Subject: pulp/fiber

I have been asked a question by a fellow colleague that I'm not sure e
how to answer. Perhaps someone on this group can enlighten me.

How is a fiber crop (such as kenaf, hemp, etc) made into pulp and thenhen
into fiber itself?

Thanks,
