Pat,

Thanks for your respose. I believe language is essential to
understanding. The reason the word "farm" is so prevalent is because
post-Columbian Americans have long equated growing food with financial
profit and absentee land ownership. If by using alternative words to
"farming" I can help cultivate a sense of stewardship and vital
connection with land, life, and community, I'm going to give it a try.

I'd like to know who else is ready to transform consciousness and
enhance wellness by reducing the use of the word "farm".
