See the March 21 Science News article "Prescription for Pollution."

Apparently up to 90 percent of some prescription drugs is excreted.
Scientists in Switzerland, Germany and the US have found ppb of some drugs,
with 10 to 30 different drugs being found in some water. Although this
article mostly focuses on human drugs, I imagine these findings have some
important implications for agricultural drug use, especially where large
quantities of water are used to flush animal wastes.
