I am seeking information regarding selling-buying relationships among
producers of sustainable agriculture products and colleges and
universities. Can any of the list members alert me to any relationships,
whether tried-failed, or tried-successful? I am especially interested in
obtaining contact information for people inside the college or university
food systems that you might have worked with.
I am already aware of a few such as here at my alma mater UW-Madison,
Hendrix College in Arkansas, and the Three-Saints Project in the St. Cloud
area in Minnesota, though I would appreciate hearing from anyone that
directly participated in those initiatives.
If you are a producer or processor, what item(s) did you sell or tryto
sell? Can you tell me a little bit about how you got your foot (or your
product) in the door? Who can I talk with at the school you work with so
that I can learn more about a school's criteria for food purchases and the
potential for working with sustainable ag producers?
If you work at a college or university, have you seen any sustainable ag
products in your school's food system? Have you participated in any
on-campus events that involved such items? Are you aware of any student
groups that are promoting the inclusion of organic/sustainable ag food
products in dining halls or elsewhere on campus? Can you point me toward
any contacts so that I can learn more about these working relationships?
I would greatly appreciate any school names you are even vaguely aware of,
as well as specific contact names, phone numbers, or email addresses you
can share. Thank you.
