CANDIDATES ARE NEEDED FOR FARMER TO
FARMER VOLUNTEER PROJECTS

The following are short-term (3-5 weeks) opportunities to
work with Peace Corps Volunteers and their communities in
the next few months.

* Agriculture Extension - We are looking for someone to
work with a Peace Corps Volunteer and the faculty and
students of an agricultural university (with programs in
agriculture, aquaculture, and veterinary medicine) in
Ecuador. The goal is to assess the existing extension program
and then to organize and conduct a workshop which would
focus on designing an effective, sustainable extension program
for the university. April, 1998

* Swine Feed - We also need an expert to work with a Peace
Corps Volunteer and the cooperative he works with on
formulating feed for swine. April, 1998

* Harvest/Post-Harvest - We are looking for someone with
expertise in harvest and post-harvest processing, packaging,
and marketing of fruits (primarily low-chill peaches and
cherimoyas) to work with Peace Corps Volunteers and
their counterparts in Bolivia. Sometime between May and
July, 1998

Travel and expenses are reimbursed. Salary is not reimbursed.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and have at least 5 to 10
years relevant experience, but there are no language
