regional marketing

Anyone doing work on regional marketing? I am doing my thesis research on
regional marketing efforts in cooperation with the non-profit group Garden
City Harvest, a USDA community food projects grant recipient in Missoula, MT.
I am aware of several groups in California: Select Sonoma, Placer Grown,
Humboldt Harvest; the Maine Farms Project and several state govt. led efforts
(NJ, VT, AK, TN,...) around the country. Does anyone know of any other
nonprofit groups who are working specifically to promote local ag. through
labeling programs, regional food festivals, etc.? Does anyone know of any
recent studies analyzing the effects of these types of efforts? I have tracked
down some info. but want to be sure I haven't missed anything particularly
relevant. And finally, are there any producers out there who have
participated in such an effort and would be willing to comment on their
experience? Thanks in advance for the help!
