Greetings All!
I am just embarking on an effort with Clagett Farm's Michael Heller (the
SA arm of the Chesepeake Bay Foundation) to investigate community-based
poultry production. We're looking for resources and contacts in
environmentaly sound production, processing, compost production and
direct/high value marketing. What we hope to do is to bring together
some of the state of the art thinking about poultry/nutrient managemnt
with a process of community dialogue and planning reminicent of the
sustainability movement's place-based initiatives. We would appreciate
any input from saneters on technical, philosophical, and community
development aspects of this.
