Job Announcement
SCHOOL PESTICIDE SPECIALIST
The department is looking for a two-year project employee to work
with public and private schools in developing pest management programs that
provide
effective pest control while minimizing the potential for pesticide exposure to
children.
The specialist will be responsible for:
oSurveying schools to identify current pesticide use practices
oWorking with school officials to develop and implement model pest
management programs
oEvaluating the effectiveness of these programs
oDeveloping and distributing training and outreach materials to schools
oPresenting information at public meetings and training sessions.
This is a full time position for a two year period beginning in March,
1998. Work will include some evenings and weekends. Salary is $12.895/hour.
Includes holidays, ten days of annual vacation, and other benefits.
