Here is update info. It's amazing to me that with today's medical technology
that after major surgery like this one can be home in just a few days.
Thank you to all who responded with good wishes for John.

Just wanted to update you on John. I had a voice mail message from
Kathy, John's secretary, who spoke directly with John.

John said he is out of intensive care and in a room. He is not hooked
up to anything. He does have a tube in his chest for drainage which
is normal. And that he will probably be able to go home on Sunday.
