Your post got me thinking. Seems to me the USDA does not like personal
opinions or religious morals or free speech. only the facts. like Satan they
are playing God and to think 10 years ago this same bunch were laughing at us
organic folks . this USDA takeover of the word organic makes a lot of the
older organic folks like me and you feel bad for what they are doing to the
word organic . and to think only 10 years or so ago the USDA laughed at
us,now they hijacked that same word "organic" that they use to hold up to
ridicule and now it is their word. Talk about conflict of interest. they
see
that extra 60 cents a pound for organic produce and they can't let that go
buy. .big money folks see it too and are getting into organic in a big way
and
to them organic is what is USDA legal and they know how to influence the
law. the organic folks of old and the old meaning of organic means nothing
for now organic is what the USDA calls legal ..there are now big players
that
see organic as easy money and want a easy way to jump on board and they are
buying all the tickets. and they took the word organic from those that have
use it for years and have been using it for years and are making them same
folks pay out of pocket a lot of third parties extortion money to use it.
. I
can see why folks like CCOF and the other organizations pushed for this as
they want what most organizations want influence ,money, and power . The
three little rabbits in Gods garden . and now these organizations will need
to hire extra folks just to help them count the money from their little slice
of the action and the inspectors they will be happy campers also do you think
they get the same money to inspect a little old 5 ac. farm that has been
organic for years as they do to inspect these new 3000 ac. asparagus ranches
tell me now who do you think is calling the shots on what organic is not us
old time small organic growers if fact they are squeezing us out as we are a
waste of their time. that is for sure. I am not the only one that feels we
were sold out by folks that want money influence and power and to some
of us
it does looks like these organizations should have know better. It makes me
sick what they are doing to the organic movement and I try not to think about
it after all why should I worry when I can pray. .
