I live in North east Indiana. In the same county as Shipshewana. One of the largest amish communities in
the US. Therefore the majority of the farmers would be amish. I'm interested because I would also like to
raise some eggs. I've got a few hens around now.
Are you organic? I'm not sure I can talk the amish into organic production. Are they on pasture during the
grazing season?
How did you get your markets? How did you arrive at a price for your eggs? Do you have trouble with seasonal

variations in egg production or demand?
How difficult is it to comply with laws for egg sales? Who regulates egg sales? State or Federal or others?
