National Program Leader for Sustainable Agriculture Is Named

JILL SHORE AUBURN, Associate Director of the Sustainable Agriculture
Research and Education Program (SAREP) at the University of
California-Davis, has been named National Program Leader for
Sustainable Agriculture by USDA, effective January 19. The Sustainable
Agriculture Program is part of CSREES' Economic and Community Systems
unit.
Auburn, who has worked at SAREP since 1987, also has served as Western
Region Professional Development Coordinator of USDA's Sustainable
Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program since 1994. In that
capacity, she has directed educational efforts for Cooperative
Extension and other agricultural professionals in 13 western states
and the Pacific Island region. She received her doctorate from the
University of California- Davis in 1985.
