The info you saw in the paper is generally not true. I quite using Furadan 10
years ago because it is toxic to earthworms, will kill birds if they eat the
granulars, and can leach into the soil quickly during wet weather. Matter of
fact, I don't use ANY soil applied insecticides because with crop rotation and
crop diversity the insect cycles are broken up. I don't know what works in your
area of India to lessen pesticide use, but I'm sure this is reason enough to
continue the IPM approach. Hang in there! Trash the pro-Furadan article!
