CDMS and Cenex/Land O'Lakes to develop pesticide label database
The crop protection industry will soon have a single electronic database
containing pesticide label information as the result of a business
agreement between the two largest suppliers of electronic pesticide
label information. CDMS will be responsible for most management duties
including manufacturer agreements, data collection, entry, updating and
invoicing. Cenex/Land O'Lakes will provide the data structure and format.
The new entity, called C&C, will offer the most complete agrochemical
database in the U.S., says Vince Naso, CEO of CDMS. In addition CDMS will
offer free pesticide label information on its Web site for a limited time.
