Thanks for your encouragement and valuable reminders. I will follow your
suggestions on forwarding specific info to congressmen. (By the way, see
the posting on HR 1411.)
As for the <power of one>, seems to me that SAN offers the power of 750
and then some, since that is approximately the number of subscribers
(according to network management) and some of these are organizations that
presumably pass on messages to many members of their own.
Since every one of us can tell so many friends, and hear from so many
other friends, all at one time, I guess that makes it all the more important
that the total message be supportive (good news, friendly advice like yours)
as well as factual (pure information) and sometimes negative (bad news and
consequent indignation).
In my view, the Internet is the ultimate free speech, the closest thing
to telepathy. It is revolutionary but peacefully so. I believe it offers
the greatest hope ever for the future.
