Howdy, all--

For those of you who work in cubicles too small to hold the USDA's
poster, "A History of American Agriculture, 1776-1990," here's a
version that'll fit right on your computer screen:

http://www.usda.gov/history2/back.htm

You can click on each topic/row to see what the individual little
cells say. There's also a link to the 1990-1997 update:

http://www.usda.gov/history2/text12.htm

My favorite part of the update is "Economic Cycles":

1983-1990 Business expansion
1990-91 Recession
1991-97 Business expansion

I'd like to meet the ag economist who contributed that expertise.

Interestingly, there's no mention of the Internet whatever under
Agricultural Education and Extension. Wow. Well, the original
poster does end in '85 (when I bought my Kaypro PC, with two floppy
drives and ***640 K*** of RAM!!). But still....

peace
michele
