After quickly breezing thru the article, I picked up on all of the same
points that charles b. did in his post, and felt a little bit better
about what was getting "put out in the world" about organic. But that
headline was a real stopper, and I believe that we need to get more
unified within the "o" community, or it will get picked apart and
trivialized like everything else that the media sinks its teeth into.
I would rather have seen a head line that said "Organic is the way to go!
Trust your local farmer! Patronize your local CSA!" When the media calls
to ask for input in their articles, we DO have a choice how to present
ourselves, and what we feel is important. I'm not saying coverup the
dissent, but accentuate our common ground. It's a matter of perception.
