On the question of fees. I think the USDA should pay every organic farmer
at least $50 an acre to cover paper work and such and pay each certifier at
least $100 for each grower they certify and the certifier can use that
money to pay inspectors. I know it is not much but that way farmers don't
mind filling out the paper work and doing the other bull shit they will be
forced to do that has nothing to do with growing food. Out of 600 pages
maybe only 1 page of it will be about growing of organic food . England
is said to pay their organic growers $150 an acre and we need a level
playing field. Also if the state of Ca. instead of charging organic
growers let them just reverse the pay menu they have set up and pay the
farmer instead to grow organic the same amount they are charging them now.
Lets get it right this time.

this is the only thing in the whole act that I feel is not bullshit.

§2105 NATIONAL STANDARDS FOR ORGANIC PRODUCTION. To be sold or labeled as
an organically produced agricultural product under this title agricultural
product shall
(1) have been produced and handled without the use of synthetic chemicals,
(2) except as otherwise provided in this title and excluding livestock, not
be produced on land to which any prohibited substances, including synthetic
chemicals, have been applied during the 3 years immediately preceding the
harvest of the agricultural products. (3) be produced and handled in
compliance with an organic plan agreed to by the producer and handler

that is it. delete the rest

lets make it simple no use forcing every small organic grower go out and
buy a computer just to grow organic or hire a lawyer just to understand
what organic is and no use making the organic grower jump through any more
hoops than $2105
If you make the grower go through any more than $2105 growing organic you
must pay them for that extra work. there are not supposed to be any more
slaves so you want paper work pay for it every time it says the grower
must do this or do that --the USDA must pay them for that extra work .
organic growers should not have to pay 1 extra cent more than any other
farmer to sell his organic produce as organic and you should all be
thankful they grow organic and not tax them for it. don't let these spin
doctors spin you around to think you should pay them to grow and sell
organic as that is one of your human rights. don't let them take that away
from you . You should not have to pay anyone to tell the truth.
