Farm Diversification Conference Announcement

The conference "Farm Diversification: From Planning to Profit" will be
offered at the Natural Bridge Inn/Conference Center (Virginia) on Dec.
11-13, 1997.

Featured speakers will be Allan Nation, editor of The Stockman Grass
Farmer; Dr. Charlie Coale, marketing specialist at Va Tech; and Joel
Salatin, direct marketer and farmer/entrepreneur. This is an educational

program to assist farm business owners who are considering one or more
additional enterprises for their farm. Participants will learn practical

techniques for evaluating resource compatibility, management
requirements, and profit potential of alternative enterprises.
Participants can use such information and decision making tools to
improve the long term viability of their farm businesses.
