There is a terrific and well-funded opportunity to study "Environments in the
Public Sphere" with an international spin, for 1994/5 academic year, at
Rutgers with a whole interdisciplinary group of people, and get paid $32,000.
They want "International scholars and activists" (that may describe you if
you're on these listservs) to discuss three related themes: 1) politics of
the environment; 2) the complex entanglement of questions of culture and
identity in environmental politics; and 3) political theories of the public
sphere.
This program lasts 3 years, and I think that 1994/5 is the first year; it is
funded by the Rockefeller Foundation. For more info write:
