I would like to ask a favor of the full-time dairy farmers and the Dairy-L
members who are "listening" for someone else in the family who is a
dairy farmer or raises cattle. Can you please contact me at my personal
address below. There is maybe 10 of you around, and I know a few of you.
However, I'm afraid I don't know all of the new folks since I was away
for a year in The Netherlands.
Dr. Nick Stone is an entomologist at Virginia Tech, and he is helping set
up an Internet based electronic information exchange network for farmers who
are trying to make the transition from conventional farming practices to
what is being termed "sustainable" farming practices.
Nick is well thought of in the area of developing useful computer programs
for farmers, and he would like to correspond with some real farmers
by e-mail concerning your experiences with Internet.
Please send a note to me at the address below or correspond with Nick
directly at the following Internet address:
nick@vt.edu
Thanks in advance for your time in considering my request.
