Yes Ohio State University has done work with seasonal dairying, the
person you want to talk to is Dr. Zartman, address available as soon as I
can dig it out from my desk.
We (Pasture Management Group, University of Vermont, 802-656-0641) are
working with 50 farms who are intensively managing their pastures. Many
of these farms are seasonal. There is a wealth of information available,
more than I would care to type here and now. If you contact us, I would
be happy to divulge all of our secrets. The people to talk to over here are;
Dr. Bill Murphy (program director), Lisa McCrory (pasture consultant) or
myself, Joshua Silman (pasture consultant).
