POSITION:
Program Coordinator for the Southern Regional Sustainable
Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Program and the
Agriculture in Concert with the Environment (ACE) Program.
This is a full-time position. Position duration is contingent
with the availability of grant funds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
M.S. Degree in an agriculturally-related field. Experience could
partially replace formal educational requirements. Knowledgeable
in sustainable agriculture activities. Strong interpersonal,
administrative and communications skills (including
telecommunications).
JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Program Coordinator is expected to perform many necessary
daily operational duties for the administration and coordination
of the SARE/ACE program at the Georgia Station, Griffin, GA
(about 35 miles south of Atlanta). The Program Coordinator must
be able to work with and assist host institution coordinators,
regional communication specialists, the administrative support
staff, Administrative Council members and producers. The Program
Coordinator must communicate with project leaders, set up
meetings, develop and participate in site reviews, develop
documents and reports, oversee program acitivties and develop new
innovative activities. The position is resposible to the
Southern Regional Program Coordinator.
SALARY: $26,855 annually.
