We invite you to the fourth annual UW-Madison Sustainable Ag. Field
Day, Thursday, August 5, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Arlington Agricultural
Research Station in Arlington, Wisconsin (about an hour north of
Madison). The event is cosponsored by the UW-Madison Center for
Integrated Ag. Systems (CIAS), UW-Extension, and the Wisconsin Dept.
of Ag., Trade, and Consumer Protection.
This year we feature afternoon and twilight field visits on three
themes: recycling waste materials as nutrient sources, applying
sustainable ag. practices at Arlington, and using cover crops and
cultivation. In addition to the field tours, dozens of researchers from
across the state will use poster sessions and chats to share the
results of their recent or ongoing sustainable ag work. Visitors and
researchers will share an inexpensive (about $4) supper at 5:30 p.m.
Each year, we have a wonderful time, and we invite you and your
colleagues to join us! For more information or directions, or to arrange
accommodations under ADA, call CIAS at (608) 262-8018 or 262-5200.
Or contact Michele at the above Internet address.
