CENET, enclosed here might be helpful. Also telnet to
twosocks.ces.ncsu.edu and login as gopher. There is a wealth of
information there. I suggest you try Veronica, which allows you to search
world-wide gophers by keyword. Also page through "All the gophers in the
World". There are a number of environmental gophers available.
I know I'm missing other sources, but I'll rely on the rest of mail group
to fill in the gaps.
