SUMMARY OF ELECTRONIC PUBLIC INFORMATION NEWSLETTER
VOL. 3, NO. 12; June 18, 1993
**********************************************************

RTK-NET GOES ON TO THE INTERNET: The Unison Institute of Washington, D.C. is
moving to place the RTK-Net, with its various holdings of the Environmental
Protection Agency files, on the Internet. John Chelan, Unison Executive
Director, told EPIN that he expects to have the RTK-Net open to the Internet
public by this week. RTK-Net (Right to Know-Net) is an electronic bulletin
board, which allows access to various EPA information resources including the
Toxic Release Inventory; the Emergency Spills Registry, Water Permit Database,
FINDS~EPA's master facility locator; Docket, case histories, and Census data to
do correlations, among other things.
To reach the RTK-Net the user would telnet to: RTKNet.org. I user,
however, will have to register with Unison, before access is granted
to the EPA databases.
