I am the person who is currently working on GMO/soybean
updated info:
* Poland (GreenPeace gave info to Green Federation - Cracow Group, report
on GMO in Central and Eastern Europe published in Polish - one striking
example - tests on carps with human genes, was in the press, TV; GF is
fighting for legislation - only legislation present - on patenting GMOs!;
Alima-Gerber Poland supports GF struggle, Poland has low-input agriculture
(high employment, small farms, small energy/chemicals - great potential on
developing ecological agriculture, Monsanto wants "to give modified seed
for free or at a discount" to Polish farmers, CAP threatening Polish
"almost ecological" agriculture, first PHARE (grant program for CEE
countries to help them in transition period) grant in 1989 was a
donation of $60 million of pesticides banned in the US and Europe)
