*Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) World Food
Summit.* (Web site). UN FAO. Provides background
information and documentation related to upcoming FAO
World Food Summit, including Draft Summit Policy
Statement and Plan of Action for the Summit, which will
be held in Rome, November 13-17, 1996. Provides weekly
news updates regarding progress towards the Summit and
provides information for non governmental organizations
(NGOs), including information about NGO participation at

*Global Food Security Resources Online.* (Web page).
Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP). Presents
information about food security resources online and in
general, including bibliographic and contact information for
FAO documents, food security periodicals and NGOs. Provides
IATP documents online, including reports about world food
shortages and sustainable farming, free trade's implications
for food security and strategies for achieving food security.

*Internet Forum on Food Security.* (Web site). Laval
University and the International Association of Food and
Agribusiness Economy (IAFABE). Gives background
information related to food security and allows users to
participate in several online discussions, including
fora on poverty, nutrition, food availability and

*Global Food Security: FAO and the World Food Summit, 1995.*
World Sustainable Agriculture Association (WSAA). Presents
transcript of talk by the director of FAO's Liaison Office
for North America, who describes FAO's efforts to improve
contact with NGOs in context of World Food Summit. Includes
transcript of brief question and answer session, which
included questions about FAO's approach to food security. 13

*Institutional Constraints to Integrated Pest Management
(IPM), 1996.* Pesticide Policy Project. Compiles papers
presented at 13th International Plant Protection Congress by
scientists and researchers working on IPM implementation.
Papers examine range of potential constraints to IPM
implementation, including research specialization, multi- and
bilateral donor policies and national plant protection
institutions. Describes ways to advance IPM by combining
policy sticks and carrots, and discusses options for reducing
