cabbage shredders

Am interested in knowing if any land grant/extension faculty are improving
cabbage shredders (of the type utilized to make sourkraut), particularly
those of small-moderate (1000-2000 puonds/day) capacity...
Pointers towards any appropriate designs/manufacturers appriciated.
